Head-face dimensions of Chinese minors
1 Scope
This Standard provides the basic data of head-face dimensions of minors (4 ~
17 years old) and the two-dimensional distribution table of main dimensions.
This Standard applies to the design of head-face product of minors.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of
this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For
undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions specified in
GB/T 5703 apply.
3.1 total head height
the vertical distance from the vertex to the chin
3.2 ear-to-ear breadth
the horizontal straight distance of the most prominent part of the outward of
left, right ears
3.3 transversal circumference
the circumference starting from the head of the vertex, through the chin point,
to the starting point
3.4 vertex-tragion height
the vertical distance from the head of the vertex to the ear screen point
3.5 vertex-pupil height
the vertical distance from the head of the vertex to the eye angle
3.6 gnathion opisthocranion distance
the straight distance of chin from the lowest point on the median sagittal to
the occiput posterior, when the head is positioned in the eye-ear plane
3.7 vertex pronasale distance
the vertical distance from the vertex to the eyebrow
3.8 pronasal-opistocranion distance
the straight distance from the tip of the nose to the occiput posterior
3.9 glabella-vertex-cervical
the arc length from the eyebrow, through the head of the vertex, to the
cervical spine point
4 Head-face dimensions
4.1 Overview
The head-face dimensions of minors are calculated according to the actual
measured head-face dimensions of Chinese 4~17 years old male and female.
This Standard includes 15 head-face dimensions of minors. See Annex A for
measurement items.
4.2 Head-face dimensions data
4.2.1 See Table 1 for the head-face dimensions of male and female minors.
