GB 2715 National food safety standard - Grain GB/T 5490 Inspection of grain and oils - General rules GB 5491 Inspection of grain and oilseeds - Methods for sampling and sample reduction GB/T 5492 Inspection of grain and oils - Identification of colour, odour and taste of grain and oilseeds GB/T 5493 Inspection of grain and oils - Determination of type purity and their mixture GB/T 5494 Inspection of grain and oils - Determination of foreign matter and unsound kernels of grain and oilseeds GB/T 5497 Inspection of grain and oilseeds - Methods for determination of moisture content GB/T 5519 Cereals and pulses - Determination of the mass of 1000 grains GB 7718 National food safety standard - General standard for the labeling of prepackaged foods GB/T 17109 Package of grain sells GB/T 22725 Inspection of grain and oils - Determination of pure kernel yield of grain and oils 3 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 peas Legume seeds produced by pea cultivars. 3.2 pure grain yield The proportion of pea grains from which foreign impurities have been removed in the mass fraction of the sample, of which the unsound kernels are calculated as half of their masses. 3.3 unsound kernel Kernels that are damaged but still have use value, including the following: 3.3.1 spotted kernel The kernel that has disease spots on the surface, which damaged the embryo. 3.3.2 injured kernel The kernel whose seed coat is eroded by insects and the embryo is damaged. 3.3.3 moldy kernel The kernel whose surface is moldy. 3.3.4 broken kernel The kernel whose cotyledon is incomplete, transected, or broken. 3.3.5 sprouted kernel The kernel whose embryonic shoot or radicle breaks through the seed coat. 3.3.6 shrivelled pods/kernel The kernel that is not plump, and more than half of its surface is shrunk; it is significantly different from normal kernels. 3.4 foreign impurity Substances that are not peas, including the following: 3.4.1 material passed sieve Material that can pass through a 3.0 mm diameter round-hole sieve. 3.4.2 inorganic impurity Soil, sand, bricks, tiles, and other inorganic substances. 3.4.3 organic impurity Pea kernels, heterogeneous kernels, straw residues, and other organic matter, which have no edible value. 3.5 colour, odour The inherent colour and odour of a batch of peas. 4 Categories Peas can be divided into the following categories according to their 1000-grain weight and skin color: 4.1 Large-grained white peas: Peas whose 1000-grain weight is greater than 250 g, and no less than 95% of which the seed coat is white or yellowish-white. 4.2 Large-grained green peas: Peas whose 1000-grain weight is greater than 250 g, and no less than 95% of which the seed coat is green. 4.3 Large-grained purple peas: Peas whose 1000-grain weight is greater than 250 g, and no less than 95% of which the seed coat is purple or brownish-purple. 4.4 Medium-grained white peas: Peas whose 1000-grain weight is between 150 g and 250 g, and no less than 95% of which the seed coat is white or yellowish-white. 4.5 Medium-grained green peas: Peas whose 1000-grain weight is between 150 g and 250 g, and no less than 95% of which the seed coat is green. 4.6 Medium-grained purple peas: Peas whose 1000-grain weight is between 150 g and 250 g, and no less than 95% of which the seed coat is purple or brownish-purple. ......
