Foreword
This Standard replaces GB 2759.2-2003 Hygienic STANDARD for
carbonated drinks, GB 7101-2003 Hygienic standard for Mai Ru Jing (Solid
beverage containing milk), GB 11673-2003 Hygienic STANDARD for milk
beverage, GB 16321-2003 Hygienic STANDARD for lactobacillus beverage,
GB 16322-2003 Hygienic STANDARD for vegetable protein beverage, GB
19296-2003 Hygienic STANDARD for tea drinks, GB 19297-2003 Hygienic
STANDARD for fruit and vegetable juice, GB 19642-2005 Hygienic standard
for cocoa powder based solid drink.
Compared with the standards being substituted, the main modifications in this
Standard are as follows.
- modified the name of standard to “National standard on food safety -
Beverage”;
- modified physical and chemical indicators;
- modified microbiological indicators.

1 Scope
This Standard is applicable to beverage.
This Standard is not applicable to packaged drinking water.
2 Terms and definitions
2.1 Beverage
Drink
The product that is quantitatively packaged, for direct drinking or drinking with
water, of which the ethanol content does not exceed the mass fraction of
0.5%.
3 Technical requirements
3.1 Requirements for raw material
The raw materials should comply with the corresponding food standards and
relevant regulations.
3.2 Sensory requirements
The sensory requirements should comply with the provisions of Table 1.
