Table of Contents Foreword ... 3 1 Scope ... 4 2 Terms and definitions ... 4 3 Basic requirements ... 4 4 Technical requirements ... 4 5 Others ... 5 National food safety standard - Composite materials and products for food contact 1 Scope This standard applies to composite materials and products for food contact. 2 Terms and definitions 2.1 Composite materials and products for food contact Two or more layers of food contact materials and products, which are made of different materials or the same material, through bonding, hot melting or other methods. 3 Basic requirements Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the regulations of GB 4806.1. 4 Technical requirements 4.1 Raw material requirements Each layer of composite materials and products for food contact, the basic resins, additives, other raw materials used shall comply with the corresponding national food safety standards and relevant announcements. 4.2 Sensory requirements Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the sensory requirements, which are specified in the national food safety standards for materials in direct contact with food layers. 4.3 Physical and chemical indicators 4.3.1 General physical and chemical indicators Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the general physical and chemical indicators, which are specified in the national food safety standards corresponding to each layer of materials. When each layer of materials has the same item, the indicator limit of the item shall be determined, in accordance with the provisions of GB 4806.1. Among them, the total migration amount, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metals (calculated as Pb), decolorization test items are implemented in accordance with the provisions of the national food safety standards, which are corresponding to materials in direct contact with food layers. 4.3.2 Other physical and chemical indicators 4.3.2.1 Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the national food safety standards, which are corresponding to each layer of materials, as well as the provisions of other relevant announcements on physical and chemical indicators, such as the specific migration limit (SML), specific migration limit (total) [SML(T)]. 4.3.2.2 The residue indicators and maximum residue amount (QM) specified in the corresponding national food safety standards and relevant announcements, for each layer of composite materials and products for food contact, are only applicable to this layer of material. 4.3.2.3 Composite materials and products for food contact using coatings, inks and/or adhesives shall also comply with the provisions of other physical and chemical indicators, in the corresponding national food safety standards. 4.3.2.4 When the materials of each layer of composite materials and products for food contact have the same item, the indicator limit of the item shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of GB 4806.1. 4.4 Microbiological limits The microbial limits of composite materials and products, that are expected to be in direct contact with food and used directly without disinfection or cleaning, shall comply with the requirements of GB 14934. Composite materials and products that come into contact with food that need to be peeled, shelled or washed before eating, cooking or processing are excluded. 5 Others 5.1 Migration test The migration test shall be carried out, in accordance with the provisions of GB 31604.1 and GB 5009.156. 5.2 Label marking 5.2.1 Label marking shall comply with the provisions of GB 4806.1. ......
