Foreword
This standard replaces GB 9683-1988 "Hygienic standard for composite laminated food
packaging bag".
Compared with GB 9683-1988, the main changes in this standard are as follows.
- MODIFY the standard name;
- EXPAND the scope of application;
- ADD the terms and definitions;
- ADD the basic requirements, raw material requirements, sensory requirements;
- MODIFY the physical and chemical indicators;
- ADD the microbiological limits;
- ADD the migration test requirements;
- ADD the label marking requirements.

1 Scope
This standard applies to composite materials and products for food contact.
2 Terms and definitions
2.1 Composite materials and products for food contact
Two or more layers of food contact materials and products, which are made of different
materials or the same material, through bonding, hot melting or other methods.
3 Basic requirements
Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the regulations of
GB 4806.1.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Raw material requirements
Each layer of composite materials and products for food contact, the basic resins,
additives, other raw materials used shall comply with the corresponding national food
safety standards and relevant announcements.
4.2 Sensory requirements
Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the sensory
requirements, which are specified in the national food safety standards for materials in
direct contact with food layers.
4.3 Physical and chemical indicators
4.3.1 General physical and chemical indicators
Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the general
physical and chemical indicators, which are specified in the national food safety
standards corresponding to each layer of materials.
4.3.2 Other physical and chemical indicators
4.4 Microbiological limits
The microbial limits of composite materials and products, that are expected to be in
direct contact with food and used directly without disinfection or cleaning, shall comply
with the requirements of GB 14934.
5 Others
5.1 Migration test
The migration test shall be carried out, in accordance with the provisions of GB 31604.1
and GB 5009.156.
5.2 Label marking
5.2.1 Label marking shall comply with the provisions of GB 4806.1.
5.2.2 Composite materials and products for food contact shall be marked in order from
the outer layer to the layer directly in contact with food, including adhesives, coatings,
inks, etc., and separated by slashes "/".
5.2.3 The special usage requirements for composite materials and products for food
contact shall be completely and clearly marked in the product information.
