1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification,
requirements, test methods, markings, packaging of domestic gas cooking
appliances.
This standard applies to domestic gas cooking appliances, that use town gas,
AND domestic gas-electric combined stoves, that use town gas and electric
energy, including.
a) A gas stove, which has a single burner's nominal heat input of ≤ 5.23 kW;
b) Gas ovens and gas roasters, which have a nominal heat input of ≤ 5.82
kW;
c) Freestanding gas cookers and independent hotplate and grills, whose
nominal heat input meets the requirements of a) and b);
d) Gas-fired rice cooker, which has a maximum rice volume for each stew ≤
4 L AND a nominal heat input ≤ 4.19 kW;
e) Gas-electric combined stoves, whose nominal heat input meets the
requirements of a), b), d), AND whose total rated input power of electricity
is ≤ 5.00 kW;
f) The integration cooking appliance, whose nominal heat input meets the
requirements of a) and e);
g) Domestic outdoor gas barbecues (hereinafter referred to as gas
barbecues), which is gas-supplied by a liquefied petroleum gas cylinder,
with a charge of not more than 15 kg, AND has a total heat input of not
greater than 35 kW.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For
the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable
to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including
all the amendments) is applicable to this standard.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions as defined in GB 4706.1 and GB 4706.22, as well as
the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.
Note. The terminology of AC power cooking appliances corresponds to the appliance
terms, which are established in GB 4706.1, for example, cooking appliances
corresponding to appliances, class I cooking appliances corresponding to class I
appliances, class II cooking appliances corresponding to class II appliances, class III
cooking appliances corresponding to class III appliances, electric heating stoves
correspond to electric heating appliances, electric cookers correspond to electric
appliances, combined cookers correspond to combined appliances.
4 Product classification
4.1 Types of gas cooking appliances
Note. Gas cooking appliances are hereinafter referred to as cooking appliances.
4.2 The method of preparing the model of cooking appliances
5 Requirements
5.1 Basic design parameters
5.1.1 Refer to Table 1 for the nominal gas pressure in front of the stove.
5.1.2 Stoves using AC power supply. power supply conditions. single-phase
rated voltage ≤ 250 V.
5.2 Performance
5.2.1 Air tightness
The air tightness of stoves shall meet the following requirements.
a) From the gas inlet to the gas valve, at a pressure of 4.2 kPa, the gas
leakage is ≤ 0.07 L/h;
b) For the automatic control valve, at a pressure of 4.2 kPa, the gas leakage
is ≤ 0.55 L/h;
c) When using the 0-1 gas to ignite from the gas inlet to the burner's fire hole,
there is no leakage.
5.2.2 Heat input
The heat input of stoves shall meet.
5.2.3 Combustion conditions
The Combustion conditions of stoves shall meet the requirements of Table 2.
5.2.4 Temperature rise
The temperature rise shall not exceed the value, which is shown in Table 3.
5.2.5 Maximum pressure rise of gas cylinder
The maximum pressure rise in the gas cylinder shall meet the requirements of
Table 4.
5.2.6 Resistance to thermal shock
5.2.6.1 The oven door and the observation window glass of the gas barbecue
shall not be cracked, due to thermal shock.
5.2.6.2 The resistance to thermal shock of the tempered glass of the stove
surface shall meet the requirements of CJ/T 157-2017.
5.2.6.3 The resistance to thermal shock of ceramic panels shall meet the
requirements of CJ/T 305-2009.
5.2.6.4 The panel of non-metallic materials shall not splash after being broken,
due to thermal shock.
5.2.7 Resistance to gravity shock
5.2.8 Safety device
5.3 Structure
5.3.1 General requirements of structure
5.3.1.1 The parts and components of stoves shall be safe and durable. They
shall not be damaged or deformed in normal operation.
5.3.1.2 The stoves shall have sufficient stability during normal use. There shall
be no sliding or tipping.
5.3.1.3 When the overall structure of the stove is tilted 15° in any direction, it
will not tip over; the parts will not fall off.
5.3.1.4 The burners of stoves (excluding products for outdoor use, such as gas
barbecues) shall be equipped with not less than two independent gas valves,
as shown in Figure 1.

5.3.1.9 For all types of stoves (excluding products for outdoor use, such as gas
ovens), each burner shall be equipped with a flameout protection device.
5.3.1.10 When the knob is grasped in normal use, it shall be impossible for the
operator's hand to touch those parts, with excessive temperature rise.
5.3.1.11 Asbestos shall not be used in the structure of stoves.
5.3.1.12 When the stove with a cover plate is in use, the cover plate shall not
fall by itself. When the angle between the cover plate and the stove surface is
less than 60°, the gas path shall be closed AND shall not be opened by itself.
5.3.2 Stove structure
Use non-metallic materials for the panel. When the panel is broken, it shall meet
the following requirements.
a) The fragments must not splash;
b) The cooking utensils do not topple over.
5.3.3 Roaster structure
When placing a container on the vent of the roaster, it must not affect the
exhaust of the flue gas. When the container cannot be placed, it shall be marked
with text, where it is easy to see.
5.3.4 Oven structure
5.3.5 Rice cooker structure
Boiled water cannot be poured on the automatic flameout device of the rice
cooker. The automatic flameout device shall not overheat.
5.3.6 Structure of oven stove
6 Test method
6.1 Laboratory conditions
6.1.1 The room temperature is 20 °C ± 5 °C. The fluctuation of the room
temperature during each test shall be less than 5 °C. Method for determining
room temperature. Fix the temperature-sensing part of the thermometer, at
approximately the same height as the upper end of the cooking appliance, at 1
m from the front, left, right of the cooking appliance, respectively, to measure
the temperature of the above three points. Take the average value.
6.1.2 The ventilation is good. The carbon monoxide content in the indoor air
shall be less than 0.002%. The carbon dioxide content shall be less than 0.2%.
The horizontal air flow velocity, at 1 m around the tested cooking appliance,
shall be ≤ 0.1 m/s.
6.1.3 Power supply conditions. AC power used in the laboratory. The voltage
fluctuation range is within ±2%.
6.2 Test gas
6.2.1 The test gas's code is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 13611,
as shown in Table 10.During the test, the variation range of the net Wobbe
number of the gas shall be within ±2%. The static pressure, when the cooking
appliance stops running, shall be less than or equal to 1.25 times of the gas
supply pressure when running.
6.2.4 The condition code for test gas is expressed as. test gas code - supply
pressure code of test gas.
Example. 0-2 means reference gas - nominal gas supply pressure.
6.3 Main instruments and meters used in the test
The main instruments and meters used in the test are as shown in Table 12.
6.6 Air tightness test
The air tightness test of the gas path is as shown in Table 14.
6.7 Heat input test
The heat input test is as shown in Table 15.
6.10 Thermal shock test
The thermal shock test is as shown in Table 20
6.11 Test of gravity shock resistance
6.12 Test of safety device
The test of safety device is as shown in Table 21.
6.13 Test of electric ignition device
6.13.1 Test conditions. Use 0-1 gas and 0-3 gas.
6.13.2 Test state.
6.13.3 Test method.
6.14 Test of use performance
6.15.2 Test of AC power supply abnormality
6.15.2.4 Judgment.
a) When the voltage sags and the short-term interruption time is less than or
equal to 20 ms, the stove shall be in normal use state.
b) When the voltage sags and the short-term interruption time is greater than
20 ms, the stove shall be in a safe protection state or a normal use state.
6.15.3 Test of DC power supply abnormality
6.15.3.1 Test conditions. Use 0-2 gas.
6.15.3.2 Test state. 15 min after the cooking appliance is ignited.
6.15.3.3 Test method.
6.16 Durability performance test
6.16.1 Gas cock
6.17 Vibration test
For the stove with protective packaging, bundle it according to the
transportation requirements. Place it horizontally on a vibrating machine. At a
frequency of 10 Hz and a full amplitude of 5 mm, vibrate it for 30 minutes in
each of the up and down and left and right directions. Then perform the test of
the gas path's air tightness, electrical performance, use function.
6.18 Drop test
The test is carried out according to the method in 5.9 of GB/T 1019-2008.The
drop height is selected, according to the circulation condition 1 in Table 3 of
GB/T 1019-2008.After the drop test, perform the test of gas tightness of the
gas path and electrical performance. The electrical strength, leakage current,
grounding resistance shall meet the requirements of 5.2.
6.19 Packaging pressure test
The test method is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 4857.3.
6.20 Requirement test of fume suction and exhaust device for
integration cooking appliance
6.20.1 The requirements test of the fume suction and exhaust device of the
integration cooking appliance shall be in accordance with the requirements of
GB/T 17713-2011.
6.20.2 The noise of the cooking fume suction and exhaust device, when the
integration cooking appliance operates separately
Turn off the burner. Turn on the fume suction and exhaust device. Run it at the
highest speed. According to the test method specified in 7.1.2 of GB/T 4214.1-
2017, use the calculation method of 8.6 in GB/T 4214.1-2017, to convert the
sound pressure level noise, which is obtained through test, into the sound
power level.
6.21 Structural test
6.21.1 General test
Carry out the test by visual inspection, as specified in 5.3.
6.21.2 Tilt overturn test
Place the stove horizontally on the test bench. Gradually tilt it to an angle of 15°
with the horizontal plane. Visually check whether it is overturned AND whether
the components on fire move and fall off.
6.21.3 Test of oven door's load
6.22 Material test
6.22.1 General test
Carry out the test by visual inspection, according to 5.4.
6.22.2 Corrosion resistance test
7 Marking, packaging
7.1 Marking
7.1.1 Each cooking appliance shall be equipped with a nameplate, at an
appropriate position; its marking content shall include.
7.1.2 In addition to the nameplate marks, the following marks shall also be
included.
a) The wiring terminals, which are used to connect to the power grid, shall
be marked as follows.
- The terminal, which is specifically connected to the neutral wire, shall be
marked with the letter N;
- The protective ground terminal shall be marked with a symbol.
Note 1.These representation symbols cannot be placed on screws, removable
washers, or other parts that can be removed during wire connection.
b) Unless it is obviously not needed, for the switch that may cause danger
during work, its marking or placement position shall clearly indicate which
part of the stove it controls.
Note 2.The marking method, which is used for this purpose, no matter where
it is, it shall be understandable without knowledge of language or national
standards.
c) For different gear positions of the switch on the stove and the different
gear positions of the controller on all stoves, they shall be marked with
numbers, letters or other visual means.
d) During installation or normal use, the controller intended to be adjusted
shall be marked with the direction of adjustment.
e) If compliance with this standard depends on the action of a replaceable
hot melt or fuse, its designation or other identification as used to identify
the fuse shall be marked at a visible position, when the cooking appliance
is disassembled to the extent necessary to replace the fuse.
Note 3.The marking on the fuse. It is allowed, as long as the mark is still clear,
after the fuse actions.
Note 4.The marks required by this standard are clear, easy to read and durable.
Wipe the mark with a cloth, which is soaked in water, for 15 seconds; then wipe
it with a cloth, which is soaked in gasoline, for 15 seconds, the mark is still clear
and easy to read, the mark is not easy to remove and does not curl.
f) If the surface of the electric stove is made of glass, ceramic or similar fragile
materials, meanwhile the heating element is installed in or on the above
materials, OR the main part of the enclosure of the live parts of the stove
is made of the above materials, THEN, there shall be the following warning
in the instructions for use AND on the stove.
g) Other safety warning marks. Electric stoves and induction stoves shall
have such markings as. High temperature and touching prohibited; do not
close the cover when heating and just after heating, etc.
7.1.3 The marks on the packaging box shall include the following.
