3 Product Classification and Type
3.1 Knitted swimming suits are classified into 3 types. even asana swimming suit, split-type
swimming suit and swimming trunk.
3.2 The type of even asana swimming suit. the net height and net chest girth of the suitable
user are indicated in cm.
3.3 For the split-type swimming suit, the net height, net chest girth, and net hip parameter of
the suitable user are indicated in cm. Thereof, those of the split-type swimming suit with cups
shall meet the requirements of FZ/T 73012.
3.4 For the swimming trunk, the net height and net hip parameter of the suitable user are
indicated in cm.
4 Requirements
The requirements are divided into two aspects. inherent quality and appearance quality.
Inherent quality includes such indexes as fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, peculiar
smell, detachable aromatic amine dye, tensile-elasticity-elongation, stretch-recovery to chlorinated
water (swimming-pool water), colour fastness to soaping, colour fastness to perspiration, colour
fastness to water, colour fastness to sea water, colour fastness to rubbing, colour fastness to saliva,
colour fastness to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water), colour fastness to light, and
splicing-mutual-dye degree. Appearance quality includes such indexes as surface defect,
specification size deviation, self size difference, and sewing requirements.
44.2.2 Splicing-mutual-dye degree is only used to examine the product spliced with dark and
light colours.
4.2.3 For the swimming suit of split type, the vertical tensile-elasticity-elongation and
vertical stretch-recovery to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water) are not examined.
4.2.4 As for each index of inherent quality, the minimum item in the test results shall be
regarded as the grading criteria of this product.
4.3 Requirements for appearance quality
4.3.1 The specifications of appearance-quality-grading
4.3.1.1 The appearance quality rating is determined according to surface defect, size
deviation, size difference per se and the rating of tailoring requirements. Where appearance
defects with different quantity grade are found on the same product, it shall be assessed
according to the lowest quality grade.
4.3.1.2 Only two ultimate surface defects with the same grade are allowed to exist on the
same product, the exceeded one shall be lowered a grade.
4.3.1.3 Grading specifications of the surface defect
4.3.1.3.1 Grading specifications of the surface defect are detailed in Table 2.

01057 (All the parts) and FZ/T 01095.
5.4.2 Test for formaldehyde content
It shall be implemented according to the requirements in GB/T GB/ T2912.1.
5.4.3 Test for ph value
It shall be implemented according to the requirements in GB/T 7573.
5.4.4 Test for peculiar smell
It shall be implemented according to the requirements in GB 18401
5.4.5 Test for detatchable aromatic amine dyes
It shall be implemented according to the requirements in GB/T 17592.
5.4.6 Test for tensile-elasticity-elongation
It shall be implemented according to the requirements in "Determination of Elongation at
Stable Force" of FZ/T 70006. Therein the rate adopts 300mm/min; the stable force is 15N; the
pre-tension is 0.1N. Randomly sample three samples respectively in straight and transverse
direction; the effective working size of the samples is 10cm×5cm. The first extension is to
destroy the finishing agent on the textile surface; the elongation at the stable force for the
second time of extension is the test value. The test is only for shell fabric.
5.4.7 Test for stretch-recovery to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water)
5.4.7.1 Disposal of the sample. respective three samples are random sampled out of the
vertical and the horizontal; the effective working size of the sample is 10cm×5cm. The
operating procedure shall be implemented according to GB/T 8433, with stirring for 4h in a
container, and the active density of chlorine is 50 mg/L.
5.4.7.2 Determination of stretch - recovery to chlorinated water (swimming-pool water).
The processed sample shall be determined according to "Determination of Elastic Recovery
Percentage and Index of Plastic Deformation at Stable Force upon Repeated Extending" of
FZ/T 70006; therein the rate is 300mm/min; the stable force is 15N; pre-tension is 0.1N; the
repeated extending times is 3.The test is only for shell fabric.

Appendix A
(Normative)
Testing Method of Splicing-mutual-dye degree
A.1 Principle
The sample is composed of two outer fabrics scabbed with different colours of garments,
and the sample is put into soap solution and mechanically agitated under specified time and
temperature conditions then is rinsed and dried. The staining of the sample is assessed
with a grey scale.
A.2 Test requirement and preparation
A.2.1 Where the jointed position of shell fabrics of garments are selected, the jointing seam
is taken as the center of a sample; the sampling size is 40 mm× 200 mm with one half of the
sample being one colour and the other half the other colour.
A.2.2 Where there is no proper position on the garments for direct sampling,
40mm×100mm of spliced shell fabric may be cut respectively from the garments or on the
same batch of shell fabrics of this batch of products and then the two samples shall be sewn
along the short side into a composite sample.
A.3 Operating procedure of test
A.3.1 Test for washing is implemented according to GB/T 3921; test conditions shall be
implemented according to A (1).
A.3.2 The staining of the two shell fabrics of test sample is assessed with the sample card of
GB/T 251.
