1 Scope
This chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following.
This document specifies the safety requirements for skin care appliances for household, commercial and similar use.
This document applies to skin beauty care appliances for household, commercial and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V.
NOTE 101 An appliance with dual power supply, either powered by the mains or by a battery, is considered to be a battery-powered appliance when it is operated in battery-powered mode.
Examples that fall within the scope of this document include.
--- Battery-powered appliances and other DC-powered skin care appliances;
--- Appliances with high frequency output, including appliances producing a thermal effect on the skin;
--- Appliances with medium frequency output (including interference wave output) for skin or muscle stimulation;
--- Devices with low-frequency output (such as Faraday current), used for skin or muscle stimulation, etc.;
--- Appliances with extra-low voltage DC output (e.g. electrolytic current), such as electro-hair removal (hair removal);
--- Skin beauty care appliances with ultrasonic output;
---Apparatus with vacuum suction function;
---Wax melting skin beauty care equipment;
--- Appliances intended to produce a cooling effect on the skin surface;
