The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 17163-2008 apply to this document.
3.1
Dental model
Models of oral soft and hard tissues often include the upper and lower teeth, dentition, gums and the mucosa that covers part of the jaw.
3.2
Singletoothmodel
A model or model of a single tooth or a single preparation.
3.3
Singlejawmodel
Upper or lower jaw model.
3.4
Occlusionrelation
The spatial positional relationship of the upper and lower jaw model in the occlusal state.
3.5
Occlusion model
Mandibular model in occlusal relationship.
3.6
STL file STLfile
A three-dimensional graphics file serving rapid prototyping technology. The STL file consists of the definitions of multiple triangles, each with three
The definition of an angular patch includes the three-dimensional coordinates of each vertex of the triangle and the normal vector of the triangular patch. The order of the triangle vertices follows
The right hand rule.
Note. There are two types of STL files. text files (ASCII format) and binary files (BINARY).
