1 Scope
This section GB/T 2900 provisions of the cable and the associated terminology and definitions.
2 Terms and definitions
2.1 Conductor
461-01-01
Conductor (cable) conductor (ofacable)
The cable having a current conducting parts specific functions.
461-01-02
Uncoated conductor plainconductor
No other metals plated single or multiple single line consisting of a metal conductor.
461-01-03
Metal plating conductor metal-coatedconductor
Each metal plating single line are various other metals or alloys consisting of a thin layer of metal conductors.
461-01-04
Tinned conductor tinnedconductor
Metal plating of tin-plated conductive coating layer.
461-01-05
Metal-clad conductor metal-cladconductor
Metallurgical processing method using another metal coating made of a metal as a core composed of a single line as the outer conductor.
461-01-06
Solid conductor solidconductor
Constitute a single wire conductor.
NOTE. Solid conductors may be circular or non-circular.
461-01-07
Stranded conductor strandedconductor
Conductor consists of a number of wires or strands, usually in all or part of a single line or strands spiral.
Note 1. stranded conductor cross-section may be circular or non-circular.
Note 2. The term "strand" also represent a single line.
461-01-08
Circular concentric stranded conductor concentricalystrandedcircularconductor
A plurality of wires helically twisted together, become stranded conductor having one or more concentric layers, usually adjacent layers twisted in the opposite.
461-01-09
Stranded conductor bunchedconductor
A plurality of wires helically twisted with the same pitch randomly twisted together to form a conductor.
