Foreword
This standard is identical with ISO 8996.2004 "Determination of the thermal environment Ergonomics metabolic rate" (in English).
This standard is GB/T 18048-2000 "Ergonomics metabolic heat measured" amendment.
This standard compared with GB/T 18048-2000, the major technical changes as follows.
--- This standard is the first time the human metabolic rate measurement method is divided into four kinds, namely screening, observation, analytical method and measurement. Among them, the concept of
Police law, the technical content of the analytical method was updated and supplemented in varying degrees, based on the original standard; doubly labeled water method and direct calorimetry
The new additions.
--- Increased the content on metabolic rate measurements log format in Appendix B.
The Standard Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C and Appendix D is an informative annex.
This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee on Ergonomics of human and centralized.
This standard drafting units. China National Institute of Standardization.

This standard replaces the standards previously issued as follows.

Determination of the thermal environment Ergonomics metabolic rate
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determination of various metabolic in the working climate and environment.
This standard applies to the work of behavioral assessment, estimating the total energy consumption and other specific work, sports physical consumption estimates, as well as specific activities.
Note. The estimate used in this standard, forms and other information are based on the following criteria on the basis of people.
--- Male. 30 years old, weighing 70kg, height 1.75m (body surface area of 1.8m2);
--- Women. 30 years old, weighing 60kg, height 1.70m (body surface area of 1.6m2).
If a user is faced by special groups, such as including children, the elderly or people with disabilities and other groups, should make the appropriate amendments.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard and become the standard terms. For dated references, subsequent
Amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, encourage the parties to the agreement are based on research

ISO 9886 Ergonomics - Evaluation of thermal stress with physiological methods
Under ISO 15256 Ergonomics of the thermal environment thermal working conditions prevent heat stress and discomfort risk assessment strategies
3 method and accuracy
3.1 General
Metabolic rate determines the degree of comfort or fatigue people exposed to hot environment. Especially in the relatively hot climate, muscle activity produced
A large number of metabolic heat generated exacerbated by heat stress, a lot of heat required to evaporate the sweat way distribution. It called "useful work" muscle activity
The mechanical efficiency is relatively low for most industrial jobs, the percentage is very low (only a few percent), it is often ignored.
Thus, it can be assumed equal to the total energy consumption of the heat generated. This standard assumes metabolic rate equal to the rate of heat generation. Table 1 lists
A variety of methods for measuring metabolic rate. The method is built on the basic principles described in ISO 15265 regarding exposure assessment. This
In consideration divided into 4 levels.
