Foreword
This standard ASTM A686-92 "carbon tool steel standard" non-equivalent.
This standard replaces GB/T 1298-1986 "carbon tool steel technical conditions" and GB/T 227-1991 "tool steel hardenability test side
law".
This standard compared with GB/T 1298-1986, the main changes are as follows.
--- Standard name change. carbon tool steel;
--- Added "rod" and the relevant technical requirements;
--- Increasing the "order content";
--- Increase in tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium content (mass fraction) of the provisions of the residual elements, and the residual copper content (mass fraction) decreased from 0.30%
To 0.25%;
--- Changed to "smelting method" requirement;
--- Amend the provisions of the delivery status of cold-drawn steel;
--- Cancel "fracture test";
--- Increasing the acid leaching low magnification level requirements, and as will be seized;
--- Original GB/T 227-1991 "tool steel hardenability test methods" used in the present standard Appendix B.
