Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 38696.1-2020 "Eye and Face Protection Against High-Intensity Light Sources (Non-Laser) - Part 1.Technical Requirements". GB/T 38696.2-2020 "Eye and Face Protection Against High-Intensity Light Sources (Non-Laser) - Part 2.Usage Guidelines". This document is based on... Based on GB/T 38696.1-2020, this standard integrates the content of GB/T 38696.2-2020.Compared with GB/T 38696.1-2020, it includes the following. Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows. ---Added terms and definitions such as "opaque protective gear," "spherical power," and "protective gear against automatically variable intensity light sources" (see Chapter 3); ---A new category has been added. Opaque Protective Equipment (see Chapter 4); ---The "General Requirements" section has been removed (see section 5.1 in the 2020 version); ---Change the three parameters "Materials", "Structure", and "Filter Assembly" to two parameters. "Biocompatibility" and "Structure and Adjustment" (see...). 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5 (2020 edition) ---The requirements for "spherical power and astigmatism" have been changed (see 6.2.1, 5.8.5 in the 2020 version); ---The requirement for "prism diopter deviation" has been changed (see 6.2.1, 5.8.7 in the 2020 version); ---Changed "local variation in refractive power" to "spatial deviation" and modified the requirements for "spatial deviation" (see 6.2.2, 2020 version). (of 5.8.6); ---The requirement for "prism power difference" has been changed (see 6.2.3, 5.8.8 in the 2020 version); ---Added requirements for "refractive power, cylinder axis deviation, and center point position (corrective lenses)" (see 6.3); ---A transmittance requirement has been added for "Class D high-intensity light source protective equipment" (see 7.1.4); ---The requirement for "transmittance uniformity" has been changed (see 7.2, 5.8.4 in the 2020 edition); ---The requirement for "angle dependence of transmittance" has been added (see 7.5.3); ---A requirement for "conversion time" has been added (see 7.5.4); ---The requirement for "narrow-angle scattering" has been changed (see 7.6, 5.8.9 in the 2020 version); ---Added requirements for "protected areas" (see 8.1); ---Changed "UV aging" to "UV radiation resistance" and modified the requirements for "UV radiation resistance" (see 8.4, 2020). Version 5.10); ---The term "strength" has been changed to "basic impact protection performance," and the requirements for "basic impact protection performance" have been modified (see 8.6, 2020). Version 5.12); ---The option "Color of protective goggles" has been removed (see section 6.2 in the 2020 version); ---A "General Rule" has been added (see 9.1); ---Added a "field of view" test method (see 9.2); ---Added a "spatial deviation" test method (see 9.3); ---A "transmittance" test method has been added (see 9.4); ---Added a "Conversion Time" test method (see 9.5); ---Added a "protected area" testing method (see 9.6); ---The requirements for "identification" have been changed (see Chapter 10, Chapter 8 of the 2020 edition); ---The requirements for the "Instruction Manual" have been changed (see Chapter 11, Chapter 9 of the 2020 edition). This document was proposed and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China. The release history of this document and the document it replaces is as follows. ---First published in 2020 as GB/T 38696.1-2020; ---This is the first revision, incorporating the content of GB/T 38696.2-2020. Eye and face protection against strong light sources (non-laser) 1.Scope This document specifies the classification, general requirements, geometric optical performance requirements, physical optical performance requirements, and non-laser protective equipment for high-intensity light sources (non-laser). The optical performance requirements, markings, user manual, and descriptions of the corresponding test methods are included. This document applies to eye protection for those exposed to strong light sources with wavelengths between 250nm and 3000nm. This document does not apply to the assembly of welding protective gear, laser protective gear, sunglasses, ophthalmic instrument components, sunscreens, and other medical and cosmetic equipment. Components.
