Foreword
This standard is the national standard of "cap nut" product family standard. The series includes.
a) GB/T 802.1 domed cap nut;
b) GB/T 802.2 hex cap nut welded;
c) GB/T 802.3 hex flange cap nut welded;
d) GB/T 802.4 Hexagon low spherical cap nut welded;
e) GB/T 802.5 metallic insert hexagon cap nut welded;
f) GB/T 923 Hexagon cap nut.
This revised standard adopts DIN1587.2000 "hex cap nut-high" (in German), the main changes are as follows.
--- Normative reference document, with instead of equivalent or modify our standard German or international standards adopted (Chapter 2);
"D≤16mm A grade; D > 16mm B grade" tolerances (Table 1);
--- DIN1587 unspecified packaging technology requirements, the standard to be prescribed (Table 2);
--- DIN1587 unspecified simplified mark, according to the present standard GB/T 1237 presents a simplified markup example (see 5.2).
This standard replaces GB/T 923-1988 "cap nut."
This standard and GB/T 923-1988 compared to the main changes are as follows.
--- Modify using DIN1587.2000 "hex cap nut-high";
--- Standard name changed. Hexagon cap nut;
--- Cancel Thread Size M3 (see Table 1);
--- Increasing the fine thread specifications Series (series 2, series 3) (see Table 1);
--- Adjustment cap nut
--- Increase the quality of steel nuts per 1000 (see Table 1);
--- Cancel five steel nuts (see Table 2);
--- Increase stainless steel nuts and non-ferrous materials (see Table 2);

Grade hex cap nut. A grade for D≤16mm; class B for D > 16mm nut.
