Foreword
This standard is GB/T 5516-1985 "grain and oilseeds for food inspection for determination of viscosity," the amendment.
This standard and GB/T 5516-1985 main technical differences are as follows.
--- Modify the scope of the standard;
--- Canceled Enge La viscosity measurement method;
--- Grinding fineness by the sample rice, wheat more than 90% through a 60 mesh, more than 90% maize 40 mesh were changed to 90% or more over
100 mesh;
--- Sample weight from "Weigh the equivalent of 7.000g ± 0.002g of dry rice flour, wheat flour or dry 8.000g ± 0.002g
Cornflour "to" weigh the equivalent of 6.000g ± 0.002g of dry rice flour, wheat flour or dry 7.000g ± 0.002g
Corn flour substance ";
--- Cancel the pasting liquid sieving step.
Since the implementation of this standard replaces GB/T 5516-1985.
Appendix A of this standard is an informative annex.

Inspection of grain and grain kinematic viscosity
Capillary viscometer method
1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination of food kinematic viscosity using capillary viscometer terms and definitions, principle, reagents, instruments and equipment, the operation step
Suddenly, results calculation and representation.
This standard applies to the determination of rice, wheat and maize kinematic viscosity.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard and become the standard terms. For dated references, subsequent
Amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, encourage the parties to the agreement are based on research
Whether the latest versions of these documents. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this standard.
GB 1354-2009 rice
GB 5491 grain and oilseeds testing for sampling, and sample method
GB/T 5497 grain and oilseeds - Determination of water test
Laboratory use specifications and test methods GB/T 6682 Analysis
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Kinematic viscosity viscosity
Fluid under gravity flow measurement of internal friction. A ratio of dynamic viscosity to its density at the same temperature of the fluid representation.
Principle 4
Quantitative gauging water added to the sample at a specific temperature gelatinization gelatinization measured liquid flows by gravity through the capillary of time. Sample pasting
Kinematic viscosity and fluid flow through the capillary pasting proportional to the time.
5 Reagents
Test water should comply with GB/T 6682 in the three water requirements.
6 instruments and equipment
6.1 constant temperature water bath. the water tank, electric control and temperature control devices, timers, the control and accuracy of temperature 50 ℃ ± 0.1 ℃, timing
Minimum reading 0.1s.
6.2 Pasting apparatus. the pasting, heating mantle and temperature control, timing device components. Pasting consists pasting bottle (volume 500mL) and condensing units
Composition; heating mantle power 200W, volume 500mL; temperature control, timing system can be controlled so that the heating temperature was kept pasting pasting bottle micro-boiling,
Automatic alarm after 30min.
6.3 capillary viscometer. aperture 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, with a viscometers viscosity constant calibration certificate. Should be selected together
Suitable aperture constant and viscosity to pasting the measuring liquid flow in the 30s ~ 60s time is appropriate, not more than 90s and less than 20s.
NOTE. capillary viscometer configuration diagram in Appendix A.
