1 Scope

This standard specifies the pre-installation preparation, installation quality, installation procedures, installation inspection and commissioning requirements of the anchor handling system. This standard applies to the installation and commissioning of anchor handling systems.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Anchor handling system A system for other ships/platforms to perform anchoring and anchoring operations. Note. The anchor handling system is composed of anchor handling winches, tail drums, shark clamps, bollards, chain guides, chain guide grooves, anchor chain transfer winches and other equipment.
