1 Scope
This standard specifies the model compilation, technical requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage of front drive axles of
wheeled tractors.
This standard applies to the front drive axle of four-wheel drive tractors (hereinafter
referred to as the front drive axle).
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated
documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document;
for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is
applicable to this standard.

3 Model compilation
The model of the front drive axle consists of the product identification code (can be
omitted), the maximum power code of the matching machine, the structural type code,
the function code, the operating environment code, the variant code. The arrangement
order is as follows.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 General requirements

4.1.1 The front drive axle shall comply with the requirements of this standard and be
manufactured according to the product drawings and technical documents approved by
the prescribed procedures.
4.1.2 The appearance quality shall meet the following requirements.
4.1.3 All fasteners shall be tightened reliably and locked correctly; the tightening torque
requirements shall meet the specified values.
4.2 Assembly requirements
4.2.1 All parts made by the manufacturer shall comply with the requirements of the
drawings; purchased parts shall have a certificate of conformity.
4.2.2 The gears and splines of the front drive axle shall comply with the relevant
provisions of JB/T 5615.
4.3 Performance requirements
4.3.1 The front drive axle shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 24645 for anti-mud
and water tightness of the whole machine.
4.3.2 The front drive axle shall meet the requirements of the maximum steering angle
in the drawings or technical documents; its deviation shall not exceed 1°; it shall rotate
freely within the required range of the steering angle without interference.
4.3.10 The limited slip differential function of the front drive axle shall meet the
requirements of the whole machine for the anti-skid ability of the front wheels; the
locking coefficient of the limited slip differential of the front drive axle shall generally
not be less than 0.4.
4.3.11 When the differential lock of the front drive axle is engaged, the differential shall
be able to lock 100% reliably; there shall be no impact, slipping, abnormal noise,
disengagement, etc.
4.3.12 The performance requirements of the steering tie rod components of the front
drive axle shall comply with the provisions of Appendix A.
4.3.13 The steering hydraulic cylinder of the front drive axle shall comply with the
provisions of Appendix B.
5 Test method
5.1 The appearance quality shall be inspected by visual inspection.
5.2 The dimensional tolerance and geometric tolerance of each part shall be inspected
by measuring tools of corresponding accuracy level.
5.3 Each fastening connector shall be inspected by a measuring tool of corresponding
accuracy level.
5.9 The cleanliness test of the front drive axle shall be carried out in accordance with
the provisions of Appendix E.
5.10 The transmission efficiency determination test of the front drive axle shall be
carried out in accordance with the provisions of Appendix F.
5.11 The noise test of the front drive axle shall be carried out in accordance with the
provisions of Appendix G.
5.12 The oil temperature test of the front drive axle shall be carried out in accordance
with the provisions of Appendix H.
5.13 The transmission durability test of the front drive axle shall be carried out in
accordance with the provisions of JB/T 11673-2013.
5.18 The vertical bending stiffness and vertical bending static strength test of the axle
housing of the front drive axle shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of
3.2.2 of JB/T 5928-2014.
5.19 The vertical bending fatigue test of the axle housing of the front drive axle shall
be carried out in accordance with the provisions of 4.3 of JB/T 9828-1999.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Inspection classification
The inspection of the front drive axle is divided into exit-factory inspection and type
inspection.
6.2 Exit-factory inspection
6.3 Type inspection
6.3.1 Type inspection shall be conducted in any of the following situations.
6.3.2 When conducting type inspection, two sets shall be randomly selected from
qualified products which has passed the exit-factory inspection.
6.3.3 Type inspection items are shown in Table 1.
6.3.4 If the results of type inspection shall not be lower than the requirements of this
standard, the product is deemed to have passed the type inspection.
7 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage
7.1 The front drive axle shall be fixed with a product label in accordance with GB/T
13306 in a prominent position; its content includes.
7.2 The packaging of the front drive axle shall ensure that it will not be damaged or lost
under normal transportation conditions.
7.3 The front drive axle is generally fixed with a special bracket and then installed naked.
It can also be packaged according to user requirements and shall be protected as follows.
7.5 The front drive axle shall be shipped from the factory to ensure that the parts will
not be damaged under normal transportation conditions.
7.6 The front drive axle shall be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse. It is strictly
forbidden to mix with corrosive substances. The placement of the front drive axle shall
ensure that it will not be deformed or damaged.
