Fire technology identification method
Part 5. Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 18294 specifies the terms and definitions of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in fire technology identification.
Test equipment, test conditions and test methods.
This part applies to gasoline, kerosene, diesel, paint thinner and other fire scene common flammable liquid and its combustion residue identification.
2 normative reference documents
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated edition applies to this article
Pieces. For undated references, the latest edition (including all modifications) applies to this document.
GB/T 19267.7 Physical and chemical testing of microchemical evidence for criminal technology - Part 7. Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry
GB/T .20162 Fire technology identification material extraction method
3 terms and definitions
GB/T 19267.7 and GB/T .20162 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Total ion chromatogram total ionchromatogram
In the chromatographic conditions under which the flammable liquid is passed through a capillary column, the total ion current of each component obtained by mass spectrometry
The intensity varies with the scan time.
3.2
Extraction of ion - flow chromatograms extractedionchromatogram
A map of the characteristic ion peaks of the flammable liquid selected from the total ion chromatogram.
4 test principle
After the laboratory pretreatment to be analyzed samples, injected into the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry instrument, after a pair of analytical samples with good
Good separation of the capillary column into the mass spectrum, the total ion chromatogram, using the total ion chromatogram and extraction of ion current chromatography
The characteristic of the flammable liquid is determined qualitatively by distinguishing the characteristic peaks.
5 test equipment
5.1 Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometer
A combination of a capillary chromatograph that separates flammable liquids and a mass spectrometer that identifies flammable liquids.
5.2 syringes
5.2.1 Liquid syringe. Volume injector in the range of 0.1 μL to 10.0 μL.
