This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB 16557-2010 "Safety Signs for Lifesaving on Sea-going Ships": Compared with GB 16557-2010, except for structural adjustment and editorial
Besides the changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Changed the content of the scope "applicable to domestic ships and water facilities of Chinese nationality" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the:2010 edition);
b) Deleted the term "instruction sign and prompt sign" and its definition (see 3:1 and 3:2 of the:2010 edition);
c) Added the terms escape route signs, emergency equipment signs, life-saving system and equipment signs, mandatory action signs and their definitions (see
3:1~3:4);
d) Added assembly station on board, emergency exit (to the left), emergency exit (to the right), slide to the right to open the door, slide to the left to open the door, reverse
