This Standard is one of GB/T 19000 series. This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB/T 19017-2008 " Quality management systems - Guidelines for configuration management". Compared with GB/T 19017-2008, in addition to editorial modifications, the main technical changes are as follows: - in the scope of this Standard, deleted the description of "not intended for certification purpose" in GB/T 19017-2008; - in the terms of this Standard, retained 5 terms in GB/T 19017-2008 and modified the definitions of these terms accordingly; deleted four terms: change control, concession, configuration management, management organization; - in the contents of this Standard, modified "product configuration information", no longer limited to products, but applicable to the configuration of products or services; expanded the focus of configuration management activities from customers in the previous version to "customers and related parties"; at the same time, the meaning of "supplier" has been expanded to include past suppliers and external providers; in addition, the documented documents in the process of configuration management are collectively referred to as documented information, which is consistent with the definition of documented information in GB/T 19000-2016. This Standard uses translation method to identically adopt ISO 10007:2017 "Quality management - Guidelines for configuration management". This Standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 151).
