This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaced GB/T 18253-2000 Steel and Steel Products – Types of Inspection Documents. Compared with GB/T 18253-2000, this Standard has the major technical changes as follows. --- Add the terms and definitions for “product specification”, “manufacturer” and “intermediary” (see 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5 of this Edition); --- Modify the number and content of the document type (see Clause 4, Clause 5 and Table 1 of this Edition; Clause 4, Clause 5 and Table 1 of Edition 2000) --- Delete “specified test report 4.3” (see 4.3 and Table 1 of Edition 2000); --- Delete inspection certificate “5.1A” and “5.1C” (see 5.1 and Table 1 of Edition 2000); --- Modify the inspection document approval methods and formal requirements (see Clause 7 of this Edition). The translation method of this Standard equivalently adopted ISO 10474.2013 Steel and Steel Products – Inspection Documents. The Chinese documents that have correspondences with the international documents in the normative reference of this Standard are as follows. --- GB/T 17505-2016 Steel and Steel Products – General Technical Delivery Requirements (ISO 404.2013, MOD). For the benefit of use, this Standard made the following editorial changes. --- Change the standard name; --- Add the informative appendix; --- Delete the information overview elements in the international standard (Table of Contents, Foreword and Bibliography). This Standard specifies, when delivering the steel and steel products as per the requirements of ordering list, different types of document that shall be provided to the purchaser.2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) are applicable to this document. The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. Related to the order, the technical requirements specified completely and detailed in written form; for example. cited standards or other specifications.4 Inspection Documents based on Non-Specific Inspection
The manufacturers declare that their products meet the order requirements, and provide test result documentation according to the non-specific inspection.5 Inspection Document based on Specific Inspection
If the manufacturer implements a traceability procedure and can provide the corresponding required test documents; then the manufacturer is allowed to transfer the results obtained from the relevant specific inspection performed on the semi- finished products to the inspection certificate 3.1. The inspection certificate 3.2 shall be jointly issued by inspection representative authorized by the manufacturer and the inspection representative authorized by the purchaser; or jointly issued by inspection representative authorized by the manufacturer and the inspection representative authorized by the third party.6 Inspection Document Provided by Intermediary
When the product is provided by the intermediary, the original and copy of the manufacturer’s inspection documents that meet the requirements of this Standard and without any modification shall be provided to the purchaser.7 Approval of Inspection Document
All inspection documents shall be attached with the name and title of the person in charge instead of the signature. The additional contents on the copy (see Clause 6) shall take into effect in the same form.8 Inspection Document List
