Compared with ISO 105-C10.2006, the main differences in this Standard are as follows. 1.The international standards specified in normative references are replaced by corresponding national standards; 2.The flax adjacent fabrics complying with GB/T 13765 are added in Table 1. 3.The rinsing method of composite-specimens after washing in 7.3 is improved. This Standard shall replace GB/T 3921.1-1997 "Textiles - Tests for Colour Fastness - Colour Fastness to Washing. Test 1", GB/T 3921.2-1997 "Textiles - Tests for Colour Fastness - Colour Fastness to Washing. Test 2", GB/T 3921.3-1997 "Textiles - Tests for Colour Fastness - Colour Fastness to Washing. This Standard specifies methods for determining the colour fastness to washing of all kinds of textiles that are commonly used in households, It includes 5 type of tests on different washing procedures - from mild to severe procedure.2 Normative References
The following normative documents contain provision which, through reference in this text, constitute the provisions of this Standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments (excluding amending error in the text) or revisions of these publications do not apply. However, all parties who enter into an agreement according to this Standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of the normative document is applicable.3 Principle
A specimen of the textile in contact with one or two specified adjacent fabrics is mechanically stirred under specified conditions of time and temperature in a soap, or soap and soda ash solution, then rinsed and dried.4 Apparatus
Other mechanical devices may be used for this test, provided that the results are identical with those obtained by the apparatus described in 4.1.Be aware of possible contamination (see the note in 7.2).5 Reagents and Materials
The first piece of adjacent fabrics shall be made of the same kind of the fibre as that of the textile to be tested. The second piece shall be made of the fibre as indicated in Table 1.6 Test Specimen
Yarn may be knitted into fabric and tested in this form. When yarns or loose fibres are to be tested, take the yarn or loose fibres of which the mass is approximately equal to one-half of the combined mass of the adjacent fabrics. Prepare the composite-specimen according to one of the following methods.7 Operation Procedures
For all tests, remove the composite-specimen at the end of the wash. Wash them twice in Grade 3 water (5.4) respectively. Then rinse them clean in running water.8 Test Report
