This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, sampling, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage, and safety of blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles. This document applies to blendstocks composed of liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum or liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum and performance-improving additives, used for blending ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles.2 Normative references

For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4016 and the following apply. 3.1 antiknock index Half the sum of the research octane number (RON) and the motor octane number (MON). Blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles are classified into four designations, i.e. No. 89, No. 92, No. 95, and No. 98, based on the research octane number of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles. NOTE. The technical requirements for No. 98 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles are listed in Annex A.5 Technical requirements and test methods
5.1 The technical requirements and test methods for No. 89, No. 92, and No. 95 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (VI B) shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.The technical requirements and test methods for No. 98 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (VI B) shall comply with the provisions of Table A.1 in Annex A. 5.2 Additives used in blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles shall have no recognized harmful effects and shall be used in the recommended dosage. Blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles shall not contain any additives or pollutants that could cause the vehicle to malfunction.
