This Standard specifies the terms, symbols, basic profile and size of taper threads and cylindrical pipe threads for gas cylinders. This Standard applies to the taper thread for connection of the opening of the gas cylinder to the cylinder valve, and the cylindrical pipe thread (hereinafter referred to as the cylindrical thread) for connection of the valve protection cap to the neck ring. The taper thread for connection of fusible plug of the gas cylinder with safety device to plug seat can also refer to this Standard.2 Normative references

3.1 Terms and definitions Terms and definitions determined by GB/T 13005 and the following ones are applicable to this document. 3.1.1 Basic plane The plane, of basic diameter, perpendicular to the thread axis, which is referred to as the base plane. Note: For internal thread, it is the plane of the big end; for external thread, it is the plane whose distance to the small end is equal to the basic distance. 3.1.2 Basic diameter The basic major diameter of the internal or external thread. 3.1.3 Taper thread pitch The distance between the parallel cone generatrices of the corresponding two points of the neighboring teeth on the pitch diameter line. 3.1.4 Taper thread pitch diameter deviation It refers to the comprehensive pitch diameter deviation, including the pitch diameter radial compensation value that is caused by the deviation of the pitch diameter itself and the profile half-angle deviation, screw-pitch deviation, and cone angle deviation. 3.1.5 Basic distance The distance from the basic plane to the small end of the taper external thread, which is referred to as the base distance. 3.1.6 Reference plane Small end face of external taper thread (visible plane for inspection), large end face of internal taper thread (visible plane for inspection). 3.2 Symbols The following symbols apply to this document. D(d) Major diameter of the internal (external) thread base surface; D2(d2) Pitch diameter of the internal (external) thread base surface; ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al.
