This standard is applicable to food additive - shellac flakes which are produced by the thermal filtration or solvent method, the food additive - shellac flakes which are produced by decolorization of activated carbon, food additive shellac (also known as shellac) which is produced by bleaching through decolorizer.2 Technical requirements
2.1 Sensory requirements Sensory requirements shall be in accordance with Table 1. Table 1 -- Sensory requirements Item Requirements Testing methods Color Light yellow to yellow brown (transparent flake) or white to light yellow (opaque flake) Take an appropriate amount of specimen. Place it in a 50 mL beaker.
