3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 13407 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
underwater glider
Under the action of residual buoyancy and hydrodynamic force, unmanned aerial vehicle that glides underwater.
Note. Also known as underwater glider.
3.2
system test
A test conducted to verify the performance and function of the complete machine system.
3.3
glidingcycle
The number of dives in the underwater jagged continuous gliding motion of the underwater glider.
3.4
gliding distance
The horizontal distance traveled by the underwater glider during the set period.
Note. The ratio of the gliding distance of a single snorkeling to the snorkeling depth difference is called the dimensionless gliding distance.
3.5
gliding velocity glidingvelocity
The gliding distance of the underwater glider per unit time.
3.6
residual buoyancy netbuoyancy
The difference between the underwater glider's buoyancy and gravity.
