This standard replaces GB/T 3506-1993 "spiral taps."
This standard compared with GB/T 3506-1993 has the following changes.
--- Added "foreword";
--- Figure 1, the length of the neck of the labeling and calculation were modified;
--- Remove the brackets in Table 1 and Table 2;
--- Canceled a list of spiral angle symbols in Table 4;
--- Table 1 and Table 2 of the total length, length and neck length according to ISO 529..1993 has been modified;
--- Square shape of the tap square error according to GB/T 969-1994 made changes;
--- Taps part of the hardness by GB/T 969-1994 made changes;
--- Canceled the performance test chapter.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the spiral groove taps type size, technical requirements and logo packaging the basic requirements.
This standard applies to the processing of ordinary thread machine screw taps, tap thread accuracy by H1, H2, H3 three tolerances to create.
