Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 19917-2005 "Small Boat Owner's Manual". Compared with GB/T 19917-2005, the main differences are in structural adjustments and rewriting.
Aside from the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The scope of the specification has been changed (see 1,.2005 edition 1);
---Content and formatting requirements have been changed (see 4.1 and 4.2,.2005 versions of 4.1 and 4.2);
---The definition of safety symbols has been changed (see 5.2, 3.2 in the.2005 edition);
---The definition of the design category has been changed (see 5.3, 5.2 in the.2005 version);
---Added definitions for maximum member count and load (see 5.4, 5.5);
---The engine information has been changed (see 5.6, 5.4 in the.2005 version);
---Information regarding flooding risk and stability has been revised (see 5.7, 5.5 in the.2005 edition);
---Changes have been made to content related to fire or explosion (see 5.8, 5.6 in the 2025 version);
---Changed the description of fire, explosion, or electric shock hazards in electrical systems (see 5.9, 5.7 in the.2005 edition);
---The requirements for the handling characteristics of motorboats have been changed (5.10.1, 5.8.1 in the.2005 version);
---Added requirements related to trailers (see 5.11.9);
---Added requirements for sailboat masts and rigging (see 5.11.10).
This document is equivalent to ISO 10240.2022 "Small Boat Owner's Manual".
