Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 19916-2005 "Main Data for Small Boats". Compared with GB/T 19916-2005, except for structural adjustments and revisions...
Aside from the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The definitions of terms such as waterline, reference waterline, sternplate width, and cargo capacity have been revised (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, and 3.8,.2005 edition).
3.1, 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6);
---Definitions for terms such as wing-mast, non-sailing boat, sailing boat, reference sail area, design trim, underway, and boat have been added (see 3.9~3.15);
---Some symbols, abbreviations, and units have been added (see Table 1);
---Added definitions for maximum waterline width and hull-to-hull width (see 5.3.5 and 5.3.6);
---The definition of freeboard amidships has been changed (see 5.4.3.3, 5.4.3.2 in the.2005 version);
---The calculation formula and illustration for the bilge angle have been revised (see 5.5.1,.2005 version 5.5.1);
---The definition of the baseline sail area has been changed (see 5.5.2, version 5.5.2 of.2005);
---Definitions for standard sail area and windward area have been added (see 5.5.3 and 5.5.4);
---The definitions of external equipment for boats with sail rigging have been changed (see 6.3.1.7 and 6.5.2.4, and 6.3.1.5 and 6.5.2.4 in the.2005 edition);
---The performance test weight and maximum load requirements have been changed (see 6.4, 6.6, and 6.4 and 6.6 in the.2005 edition);
---The definition of full-load standby state has been changed (see 7.3, version 7.3 of.2005);
---Added definitions for empty ship status, no-load status, minimum operating status, fully loaded arrival status, and maximum load status (see 7.4~).
7.8);
---The publicly available data and preliminary specification requirements have been revised (see 8.1, 8.2, and 8.1 and 8.2 in the.2005 version);
---Added a tag length requirement (see 8.3).

Key data of the small boat
1 Scope
This document clarifies the unified regulations for the main dimensions and related data, weight classification, and loading status of small boats.
This document applies to small boats with a hull length (LH) of no more than 24m.
2 Normative references
This document has no normative references.
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
Note. For details on the main data units, please refer to Chapter 4.
3.1
waterline
WL
The line of intersection between the horizontal plane and the hull when the boat (3.15) is floating.
3.2
Maximum load waterline
Reference waterline
The boat (3.15) is floating at the waterline (3.1) at its maximum full load displacement (3.6).
3.3
deck sheerline
The line of intersection between the deck and the hull is a normal line of intersection for the edge of a rounded deck; or, if there is no deck or the hull extends to the deck (side)...
Above the wall, the upper edge of the hull is the upper edge line.
Note. The upper position of the deck hull line depends on the angle between the hull/deck intersection and the actual deck.
3.4
Stern plate width transombeam
BT
The maximum width of the stern plate at or below the deck flank (3.3) (excluding extensions, handles and accessories).
Note 1.If the splash guard is part of the bilge material or the sliding surface, it should be included when measuring the width of the stern seal.
Note 2.For vessels with a rounded or pointed stern, or whose stern plating width is less than half the maximum width of the vessel (3.15), the stern plating width BT is the width along the deck flank or...
The maximum width of the hull, extending one-quarter of its length forward from the stern, below the deck hull line.
3.5
Displacement
The weight of the water displaced by the boat (3.15) (including all accessories).
