This standard is in accordance with the rules of GB/T 1.1 gives drafted.
Instead of the standard YS/T 73-1994 "by-product of zinc oxide." Compared with YS/T 73-1994, this standard main changes are as follows.
--- Product level from the original ten levels changed to five levels;
--- Increased impurity F, Cl requirements;
--- Standardize the arbitration number of samples.
This standard by the national non-ferrous metals Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC243) centralized.
This standard is drafted by. Shuikoushan Hunan Nonferrous Metals Group Limited.

1 Scope
This standard specifies a byproduct of zinc oxide requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate.
This standard applies to zinc smelting slag and an alloy of zinc oxide obtained by the comprehensive recovery.

3 Requirements
3.1 Categories
By-product of zinc oxide by chemical composition is divided into five levels. ZnO-90, ZnO-80, ZnO-70, ZnO-60, ZnO-50.
3.2 Chemical composition
By-product of zinc oxide should be consistent with the chemical composition specified in Table 1.

3.3 appearance quality
3.3.1 byproduct of the zinc oxide product should not with foreign inclusions.
3.3.2 byproduct of zinc oxide should be white or off-white powder.

Mutually agreed by both users of zinc oxide by-product of the chemical composition and particle size and other special requirements.
