Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
1 Scope
YS/T 521 This part specifies the determination method of blister copper zinc and nickel content.
This section applies to the determination of crude copper zinc and nickel content. Measurement range. zinc mass fraction of 0.10% - 0.03%, mass fraction of nickel
0.03% to 0.14%.
2 Method summary
Sample with nitric acid dissolved in dilute nitric acid medium, atomic absorption spectrometer wavelength at 213.9nm and 232.0nm, air - acetylene
Flame measuring the absorbance of zinc and nickel.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.
Nitrate 3.1 (ρ1.42g/mL).
3.2 nitric acid (1 + 1).
3.3 standard zinc stock solution. Weigh 0.5000g of zinc (mass fraction ≥99.99%) in 100mL beaker, add nitric acid (3.2)
10mL, low temperature until completely dissolved, remove the cooled and transferred to 500mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution containing 1mL
1mg zinc.
3.4 Nickel standard stock solution. Weigh 0.5000g of nickel (mass fraction ≥99.99%) in 100mL beaker, add nitric acid (3.2)
10mL, low temperature until completely dissolved, remove the cooled and transferred to 500mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution containing 1mL
1mg nickel.
3.5 Zinc standard solution. Pipette standard zinc stock solution (3.3) 10.00mL in 100mL flask, add 10mL of nitric acid (3.2) to
Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 0.1mg zinc.
3.6 Nickel standard solution. Pipette Nickel standard stock solution (3.4) 10.00mL in 100mL flask, add 10mL of nitric acid (3.2) to
Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 0.1mg nickel.
4 Instrument
Atomic absorption spectrometer, with zinc, nickel hollow cathode lamp.
Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used.
Characteristic concentration. In line with the measured sample matrix solution, measuring the characteristics of zinc and nickel concentration should not exceed respectively
0.0027μg/mL and 0.015μg/mL.
Precision. measuring the absorbance of the standard solution 10 times the minimum concentration, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance of 1.0%; the lowest
The concentration of the standard solution (solution not "zero" standard) measured 10 times, and the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum concentration of the mean absorbance of the standard solution
0.5% of degrees.
Linear curve. The curve is divided into five sections according to concentration, than the difference between the absorbance of the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment segment,
It should not be less than 0.8.
