Summary This standard specifies the design, analysis and operation of the positioning system (mooring, dynamic positioning, or auxiliary propeller mooring), and gives different design requirements for movable anchoring and permanent anchoring. The design process described in this standard is based on a deterministic approach in which the response of the mooring system, such as mooring line tension, float displacement and anchor end forces, is calculated under the design environmental conditions defined in a return period.
