1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of phthalates in olive oil simulants by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard applies to dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and phthalic acid in the olive oil simulant of polymer materials in contact with food. Base benzyl ester (BBP), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP), phthalic acid Determination of isodecyl ester (DINP), diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP) content.

3 Method summary

The phthalate migrated into olive oil is extracted with acetonitrile, and then purified by solid phase extraction cartridge with PSA-Silica mixed filler. After gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, external standard method was used for quantification.
