Method for detecting residual progesterone
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of medroxyprogesterone acetate and medroxyprogesterone acetate in animal-derived foods by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
This standard applies to the test of the residual amount of medroxyprogesterone and medroxyprogesterone acetate in rabbit meat, fish and pig kidney.
2 Determination method
2.1 Method summary
The medroxyprogesterone and medroxyprogesterone acetate in the sample were extracted with ethyl acetate, and the extract was passed through a C18 solid phase extraction column with different proportions of methanol-
Water rinsing and elution, the eluent was stripped of methanol, extracted with ethyl acetate, and the ethyl acetate layer was concentrated to dryness, derivatized with heptafluorobutyric anhydride, and dried to volume.
After that, the gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer was selected for ion detection and quantified by an external standard method.
2.2 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, the reagents used were of analytical grade and the water was distilled water.
