1 Scope
This standard specifies the heat treatment procedures for straw and straw products from phytosanitary and animal quarantine.
This standard applies to the damp heat and dry heat treatment of straw and straw products.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1
Uncut raw straw for export to Japan, cutting straw for feed, straw curtain, straw mat, straw rope, straw crafts, etc.

3 heat treatment facilities
3.1 Basic requirements
3.1.1 All heat treatment facilities must be jointly evaluated and approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.
