Method for testing E. coli in imported and exported foods
Glutamate decarboxylase
1 Scope
This standard specifies the sampling and testing methods for E. coli in imported and exported foods.
This standard applies to import and export of frozen meat products, milk and dairy products, frozen vegetables, dehydrated vegetables, water, vinegar, non-alcoholic beverages, walnuts, insurance

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Also known as Escherichia coli, fermented lactose produces acid and produces gas.吲哚 and methyl red (MR) test positive, V-P test negative, citrate
Negative test, glutamate decarboxylase (GAD) test was positive.
3.2
An enzyme that promotes the decarboxylation of glutamic acid. E. coli can specifically produce this enzyme, promote the decarboxylation of glutamic acid, and produce gamma-aminobutyric acid and CO2.
3.3
A statistical method that represents an estimate of 95% confidence limits that can be used to quantify the number of bacteria in a population.
4 sampling
Execute according to SN 0330 regulations.
5 Determination method
5.1 Principle of the method
Escherichia coli produces glutamate decarboxylase in an acidic environment, which decomposes glutamic acid in the GAD reaction solution to produce gamma-aminobutyric acid and
Carbon dioxide (different from other bacteria of Enterobacteriaceae) changes the pH of the reaction solution, causing a change in the color of the indicator in the reaction solution.
5.2 Reagents and materials
5.2.1 Standard strain
