This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
The partial replacement of SN/T 0801.15-1999 "Importers animal fat unsaponifiable matter test methods."
This section compared with the SN/T 0801.15-1999, main technical changes are as follows.
--- Detailed steps to increase the extraction of petroleum ether;
--- Solvent evaporation process requires nitrogen blow down;
--- Constant weight process using a vacuum oven;
--- Increasing the precision of the data.

Animal and vegetable fats export inspection methods
Part 15. unsaponifiables
1 Scope
SN/T 0801 This section provides two methods for determining export animal fat unsaponifiable matters. ether extraction and petroleum ether extract
Emulated.
This section applies to diethyl ether extraction of unsaponifiable matter content higher than ordinary animal fats oil, especially for marine oils, are also suitable
For determining the vegetable oil deodorizer distillate and residue. Petroleum ether extraction method applicable to common animal and plant fats, does not apply to the content of unsaponifiables
High fat, such as marine animal oils. Two methods are not applicable to the determination of feed-grade fat unsaponifiable matters.

3.1
Unsaponifiables unsaponifiablematter
Animal fats are saponified but not soluble in common solvents fat substances include higher fatty alcohols, sterols, pigments and multi-carbon alkanes.
4 Method summary
Potassium hydroxide solution under reflux conditions saponified oil, then with ether or petroleum ether extract liquid saponification in unsaponifiables,
The solvent was evaporated and the residue after drying weighed.
