Foreword
This standard is based on the relevant inspection rules and methods of the International Wool Textile Organization IWTO and the corresponding national standards for SN/T 0473-
1995 "Import and Export Liquid Test Procedures" was revised.
The main changes in this standard compared with SN/T 0473-1995 are as follows.
---Reorganized the original standard preparation sequence, washing, drying and ash, ethanol extract, plant impurity base and total
Determination of alkali insoluble content, etc. are written in the appendix, and are more standardized, more systematic and more comprehensive in the content.
--- The original standard washing and drying sample was revised to determine the drying quality of the washed sample.
--- The fat-colored hair color test in Appendix C of the original standard is directly included in the test method, except for the specific test method.
In addition to the light source and 2° viewer test, the CIED65 and 10° observer tests were added.
---In the test of the average fiber diameter, the new advanced optical fiber diameter analyzer and laser fiber are added.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Wool unwashed, solvent degreased, carbonized or otherwise treated from sheep or sheep skin.
3.2
The core of the wool drilled from the bale of the goods tested by the core sampling method.

A representative sample randomly taken from the sample is washed and dried.
