Foreword
This standard is to amend SN/T 0459-1995 "Import and Export of Acetate Fiber Tow Inspection Procedures".
The main changes in this standard compared with SN/T 0459-1995 are as follows.
1. Additions and deletions to the “normative references” and “terms and definitions” of the original standard;
2. According to GB/T 14338-1993, the determination of the number of crimps has been modified;
3. Change the “total number of tows” in the original standard to “tow density” and “monofilament density” to “monofilament density”;
4. Modifications to the unit of measure error and certain quantity representation methods in the original standard;
5. The inspection items with national standards are implemented according to the corresponding national standards;
6. Items listed in the original standard with reference to foreign relevant standards are listed in Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C and Appendix D;
7. Make some textual changes to some of the original standards;
8. Adjustments have been made to the chapter layout;
9. Some instruments specified in the original standard were adjusted;
10. Added a description of the “principle” to the quality inspection project;
11. According to the tobacco industry standards and actual import and export contracts, the whiteness inspection project is cancelled;
12. The content of "judgment of test results" has been added.
Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C and Appendix D of this standard are normative appendices.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
The percentage of residual acetone in the fiber to the dry weight of the fiber sample.
3.2
The number of crimps per unit length of the monofilament that make up the tow.
3.3
Throughout the test, the holder holding the sample is fixed and one is moved at a constant speed to make the elongation of the sample positive with time.

4.1 Sampling and sampling quantity
The same contract, the same invoice, and the same production batch number are one inspection lot. According to the characteristics of the tow, it should be randomly selected when the tow is used.
The number of samples per batch is performed according to Table 1; in case of abnormal conditions, the total inspection is performed by batch.
