1 Scope
This document sets out the principles and requirements for greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies related to the competence, consistency and impartiality of validation or verification activities.
These requirements include general requirements, structural requirements, resource requirements, validation and verification plans, process requirements, information requirements, and management system requirements.
This document is applicable to organizations in all sectors that conduct greenhouse gas validation and verification activities.
The intended use (approval) or the declared truth opinion (verification) provides the corresponding recognition.
Note. An organization operating in accordance with this document may act as a third-party organization to conduct greenhouse gas validation and verification, and may act as a validation organization or verification organization alone, or

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 27000 and GB/T 27029 and the following apply to this document.

Note 2.GHG declarations can be specific at a point in time or cover a period of time.
Note 3.Greenhouse gas declarations should be clear and unambiguous and capable of being stably and consistently evaluated or measured by the validation and verification body in accordance with specified requirements.
Note 4.Greenhouse gas claims can be presented in the form of reports, declarations, project plans or consolidated data.
