Spontaneous combustion monitoring in goaf of underground coal mines
Warning technical specifications
1 Scope
This document specifies the general provisions, monitoring technology, early warning technology and methods for monitoring and early warning of spontaneous combustion in goaf areas of coal mining working faces in underground coal mines.
Techniques and conditions for determining the “three zones” of spontaneous combustion in goaf areas, etc.
This document is applicable to the monitoring and early warning of spontaneous combustion in goaf areas of coal mining faces in underground coal mines.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15663.8 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Fire coefficient
It is an index parameter that can reflect that coal has entered a certain stage in the process of low-temperature oxidation heat storage.
3.2
Oxidizing zone
The area where the coal left in the goaf combines with oxygen in the air to undergo physical and chemical changes and store heat.
3.3
alarming critical value
A specific value in the oxidation heat storage process of coal. When this value is reached or exceeded, the oxidation heat storage process of coal will enter a new stage.
4 General Provisions
4.1 Coal mines should establish a system for predicting and forecasting spontaneous combustion in goaf areas, and dynamically grasp the potential spontaneous combustion hazards or spontaneous combustion situations in goaf areas.
4.2 When mining coal seams that are prone to spontaneous combustion or self-ignition, the gas concentration in the goaf of the coal mining face and the gas extraction pipeline should be monitored daily;
For coal-burning seams, spontaneous combustion monitoring of goaf areas should be carried out at least once a week.
4.3 Coal mines should establish a spontaneous combustion monitoring and early warning system, collect statistics on the changes in spontaneous combustion indicators, draw trend charts, and conduct spontaneous combustion monitoring and early warning.
Fire prediction. once a certain indicator is found to reach a critical value, a forecast should be made quickly.
