1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods and procedures of broken belt catch devices for belt conveyors (hereinafter referred to as catch devices).
Methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Catching force
The catch device holds the conveyor belt tightly, preventing the friction from causing the conveyor belt to slide down.
3.2
Action time response time
The idle time from when the capture mechanism receives the broken belt signal to when it starts to capture until it completes the capture action.
3.3
Action distance action distance
The sliding distance of the conveyor belt when the capture mechanism is triggered to perform the capture action.
