Summary This standard specifies the content of rare earth lanthanum oxide (La2O3) and cerium oxide (CeO2) in catalytic cracking catalysts by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF). This standard applies to catalytic cracking fresheners, balance agents l and spent agents. The measured rare earth yttrium oxide and yttrium oxide have a mass fraction ranging from La2O3: 0.10% to 6.0%; CeO2: 0.10% to 4.0%. For samples with cerium oxide and cerium oxide content exceeding this mass fraction, although according to this standard, The test procedure is performed, but the precision may not be applicable. When the elemental composition of the sample is significantly different from the elemental composition of the standard calibration sample used to establish the calibration curve, the precautions and recommendations in Chapter 5 should be observed or the analysis results may be disturbed.
