3 Overview
The standard steel tape is a kind of steel strip made of high-quality steel, which is precisely engraved and made into a line-like length measurement standard.
It is mainly used for the value transfer of ordinary steel tapes, sounding steel tapes and other linear working measuring tools, and can also be used directly
Precision Engineering Measurements.
Standard steel tapes have various specifications such as 5m, 10m, 20m, 30m, 50m, etc.

4 Metering performance requirements
4.1 Edge straightness
The straightness of the edge of the standard steel tape should not be greater than 0.5mm per meter.
4.2 Tape width and thickness
The width of the tape is (12~15)mm, and the width difference is not more than 0.2mm;
The thickness of the tape is (0.22~0.50) mm, and the thickness difference is not more than 0.02 mm.
4.3 Line Width
The line width of the standard steel tape is (0.08~0.12) mm, and the width difference should not be greater than 0.02 mm.
4.4 Scale interval error
The maximum permissible error of the scale interval of standard steel tapes is shown in Table 1.
