Introduction

JJF1002-2010 "Rules for Writing National Metrology Verification Regulations", JJF1001 "General Metrology Terms and Definitions", JJF1008 "Terms and Definitions of Pressure Measurement" and JJF1059.1 "Evaluation and Expression of Measurement Uncertainty" are jointly composed Basic series of specifications for the formulation and revision of cost procedures. This regulation is based on JJG 683-1990 "Barometric Altimeter" and retains the effective content. revisions made. Compared with JJG 683-1990, in addition to editorial modifications, the main technical changes in this regulation are as follows. ---The content of the introduction has been added according to the requirements of JJF1002-2010; ---Added reference documents and measurement units according to the requirements of JJF1002-2010; ---The calibration methods have been adjusted and standardized; ---Replaced the contents of Appendix 2 and Appendix 3 of the original regulations; ---In accordance with the requirements of JJF1002-2010, the format of the inner page of the calibration certificate and the inner page of the calibration result notice have been added. The previous versions of this regulation are released as follows. ---JJG 683-1990. Barometric altimeter calibration procedures

1 Scope

This regulation is applicable to mechanical barometric altimeters with a bellows as a sensitive element with a measuring range below 11000m. (hereinafter referred to as the altimeter) initial calibration, subsequent calibration and in-use inspection. This procedure does not apply to the calibration and in-service inspection of airborne air pressure altimeters for aviation.

2 cited documents

This regulation cites the following documents. JJG 272-2007 Calibration Regulations for Empty Box Barometers and Empty Box Barometers For dated references, only the dated version applies to this regulation; for undated references, only the dated version applies. The latest version (including all modification orders) shall apply to this regulation.

3 Terminology and units of measurement

3.1 Terminology 3.1.1 geopotentialheight geopotentialheight In the earth's gravity field, the height represented by the potential energy of unit mass of air relative to sea level. 3.2 Unit of measurement The unit of measurement is meters (m) or kilometers (km).

4 Overview

The altimeter is used to measure the height difference between two locations, using the principle of barometric altimetry. Altimeter made of vacuum membrane It consists of a box, air pressure dial, height dial, transmission mechanism, etc. When the air pressure changes, the center of the vacuum membrane box produces The generated displacement is amplified by the transmission mechanism, driving the pointer to move along the scale surface, indicating the height value corresponding to the air pressure. The relationship between atmospheric pressure and geopotential height can be expressed by equation (1). p=p0 1 T0 (H-H0)   -g0/L×R (1) In the formula. p ---Atmospheric pressure at H, hPa; p0 ---standard atmospheric pressure at mean sea level, taken as 1013.25hPa; L ---The vertical gradient of atmospheric temperature in the troposphere, taken as -0.0065K/m; T0 ---The thermodynamic temperature of the atmosphere at mean sea level, taken as 288.15K; H ---The geopotential height somewhere above (or below) mean sea level, gpm; H0 ---Geopotential height at mean sea level, 0gpm; g0 --- standard gravity acceleration, take 9.80665m/s2; R --- Dry air specific gas constant, taken as 287.05287J/(K·kg).
