1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of ethipirin C in propolis by high performance liquid chromatography.
This standard applies to the qualitative and quantitative determination of acitretin C in propolis.
The detection limit of this standard is 0.024mg/g, and the limit of quantification is 0.080mg/g.

3,5-diisopentenyl-4-hydroxycinnamic acid, the molecular structure is shown in Figure 1.
The relative molecular mass is 300.40, which is a 2,4,6-trisubstituted phenolic substance.
Ateclosin C is found in plants such as Baccharis, Relhania and Flourensia heterolepis, especially in southeastern Brazil.
It is abundant in BaccharisdracunculifoliaDC. It is considered to be a characteristic component of Brazilian green propolis.
