Residual current for DC system General requirements for action protection appliances

1 Scope

This document acts on residual currents that are expected to be used in DC systems, with a rated voltage not exceeding 400V DC and a rated current not exceeding 125A. The drafting and test procedures for the protection of electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as DC-RCD) standards set out the minimum general requirements, recommendations and information. Note 1.This document can also be used as a guide for DC-RCD with a voltage not exceeding 1500V. This document is mainly used as a reference for drafting DC-RCD product safety standards. This document cannot be used alone, but can be used by technical committees to draft product standards similar to the scope of this document. This document is suitable for detecting the residual current, comparing it with the reference value, and opening the contact or opening when the residual current exceeds the reference value. Extremely electrical. This document also includes combined appliances, each of which performs one or two of the above functions separately, but works together to complete all three Features. Note 2.RCM (Residual Current Monitor in accordance with IEC 62020) only monitors electrical installations but does not provide protection. It is not included in this document and is not regarded as DC- RCD similar products or equivalent products. According to IEC 60364-4-41, after the exposed conductive parts of the device are connected to a suitable ground electrode, the DC-RCD is expected to be used to provide faults Protect. The DC-RCD with the rated DC residual operating current not exceeding 80mA can also provide additional Protect. According to IEC 60364-4-42, a residual current device with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 300mA can also be used for continuous earth faults. Provide protection against fire hazards caused by electric current. DC-RCD is suitable for isolation. In addition to the single-pole DC-RCD with two current loops is not suitable for IT systems, DC-RCD is suitable for All power systems. General type DC-RCD is resistant to false tripping, including surge voltage (caused by transient overvoltage or lightning induction) to generate load current in the device And no flashover occurred. Note 3.The installation and use rules of RCD are given in IEC 60364 (all parts). Note 4.A surge protector installed downstream of the DC-RCD and connected in a common mode may cause false tripping. The requirements of this document apply to normal environmental conditions (see 7.1). For DC-RCD used under severe environmental conditions, it can be supplemented with Add requirements. Note 5.For DC-RCDs with a degree of protection higher than IP20, a special structure may be required. This document does not include DC-RCDs that use batteries. IEC TR60755 contains specific additional requirements for RCDs assembled or embedded in equipment. These specific additional requirements also apply to DC-RCD.
