GB /Z 29014 provides a method for describing various data related to cutting tools and cutting tool assemblies by providing the information structure required.

A cutting tool with a cutting edge is used on a machine tool to remove workpiece material through the shearing action at the cutting edge of the tool.
The data includes characteristics of the tool and its use, including but not limited to geometric and dimensional data, identification and name data, miscellaneous and spare parts data, cutting
