Introduction

1 Scope

This Guidance Document specifies the conditions of use, rating, design and junction of 1100kV high voltage AC disconnectors and earthing switches Construction, testing, selection guidelines, transportation, storage, installation, operation and maintenance requirements. This guidance applies to the design and installation of outdoor installation, rated voltage 1100kV and the operating frequency of 50Hz AC isolation switch And ground switch. This guidance document also applies to the operating mechanism of these disconnectors and grounding switches and their ancillary equipment. Additional requirements for disconnectors and earthing switches in gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear are given in GB 7674.
