1 Scope
This standard specifies the conversion of carbonyl compounds into 2,4 Dinitrophenylhydrozones common with colorimetric method assay.
This standard applies to the determination of trace organic reagent carbonyl compounds. Spectrophotometric or visual colorimetric detection range

3 PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD
In acidic medium, the carbonyl compound with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine reaction of 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazone, was dark red in the alkaline solution
Color can be used for spectrophotometric carbonyl compounds or visual colorimetric method.

Unless otherwise specified in this standard, the standard solution used in formulations and products, according to GB/T 602, the provisions of the preparation of GB/T 603; and experiments
Water should be consistent with GB/T 6682 in the three water specifications.

6 Determination
Sampling according to product standards and test solution preparation, grinding mouth placed 25mL colorimetric tube, add 1mL 2,4- dinitrophenylhydrazine solution
(1g/L), cover colorimetric tube, shake and let stand 30min. Plus 8mL pyridine, 2mL water, 2mL potassium hydroxide - methanol solution, shake, quiet
Set 30min. Diluted with carbonyl-free methanol to 25mL, shake. The dark red solution was compared with the standard colorimetric solution.
Preparation of standard colorimetric solution is specified amount of carbonyl compounds (CO) containing standard solution, test solution at the same time with the same treatment.
