Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
Drafting:
This document replaces GB/T 9460-2008 "Copper and Copper Alloy Welding Wires": Compared with GB/T 9460-2008, except for structural adjustments and editing
In addition to sexual changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Added a model of SCu5285 (see 5:3);
b) Changed some chemical composition requirements (see 5:3, 4:1 of the:2008 edition);
c) Changed the chemical composition codes of SCu6560 and SCu6560A, and the character codes of SCu6810A (see 5:3,:2008 edition
4:1);
d) Changed the regulations for sampling when conducting chemical composition analysis of welding wire (see 6:3, 5:1:1 of the:2008 edition);
e) Added contract modification rules (see Chapter 7);
f) The inspection rules have been changed (see Chapter 8, Chapter 6 of the:2008 edition);
g) The requirements for “packaging, marking and quality certificate” are deleted (see Chapter 7 of the:2008 edition);
h) Added the requirement of "Technical Conditions of Supply" (see Chapter 9):
This document is modified to adopt ISO 24373:2018 "Welding Materials Classification of Solid Welding Wires and Filling Wires for Fusion Welding of Copper and Copper Alloys":
Compared with ISO 24373:2018, this document has many adjustments in structure: A comparison list of structural number changes between the two documents
See Appendix A:
Compared with ISO 24373:2018, there are many technical differences between this document and the clauses involved in the outer margin of the page:
Single lines (|) are marked: A list of these technical differences and their causes is provided in Appendix B:
The following editorial changes have been made to this document:
---In order to coordinate with the existing standards, the standard name is changed to "Copper and Copper Alloy Welding Wire";
---Added Appendix C (informative) "Brief Description of Welding Wire":

Copper and copper alloy welding wire
1 Scope
This document specifies the models, technical requirements, test methods, rounding rules, inspection rules and supply of copper and copper alloy solid welding wires and filler wires:
Goods technical conditions and other contents:
This document applies to copper and copper alloy solid welding wires and filler wires for fusion welding such as gas shielded arc welding, gas welding and plasma arc welding (hereinafter
Referred to as "welding wire"):
2 Normative reference documents
The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text: Among them, the dated quotations
For undated referenced documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated referenced documents, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to
this document:

3 Terms and definitions
There are no terms or definitions to be defined in this document:
4 models
4:1 Model classification
Welding wire models are divided according to the chemical composition of the welding wire: One wire model may be suitable for several welding processes: For a brief description of welding wire, see
Appendix C: For a comparison of the welding wire models of this document and other relevant standards, see Appendix D: For instructions on controlling the composition of welding wire for different welding methods, see
Appendix E:
4:2 Model compilation method
The welding wire model should consist of two parts:
a) Part 1: Use the letter “S” to indicate welding wire;
b) Part 2: Use “Cu” plus 4 digits or a combination of 4 digits and letters to represent the character code for the chemical composition classification of copper-based welding wires:
No:, see 5:3:
In addition to the above mandatory codes, optional codes can be appended in parentheses after the second part:
The chemical composition code is represented by "Cu" plus the chemical symbol and nominal content of the main added elements, see 5:3:
Examples of welding wire models in this document are as follows:
